Monaco, October 25, 2025 – For its first edition, the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie (GPHJ) brought together the greatest Maisons – Anna Hu, Boucheron, Bvlgari, Chanel, Chopard, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Martin Katz, Messika, Tiffany & Co. – represented by their leaders and their muses, creators, major collectors from all over the world, artisans, gemstone-producing countries… Everyone turned up to offer the fine art of jewelry a celebration worthy of its cultural importance and global reach.
To open the evening, GPHJ co-founders — Stéphane Valéri, Chairman and CEO of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, and Jean-Philippe Braud — took to the floor to express their gratitude and their emotion on seeing the leading High Jewelry players gathered in one place for the first time and this unique art being celebrated for its true cultural, heritage and economic value.
The assembly included key players in the High Jewelry sector — including Bogolo Kenewendo, Minister of Minerals and Energy in Botswana, Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, Frédéric Grangié, CEO of Chanel, Nathalie Verdeille, Artistic Director, and Thierry Vasseur, Senior Vice-President Jewelry and High Jewelry of Tiffany & Co., Ludovic Watine, General Manager France & Monaco Dior Couture, Marie-Noëlle Barrère, CEO of Bvlgari France, Giuseppina Cannizzaro, Head of Haute Couture and High Jewelry at Dolce & Gabbana, Anna Hu, Martin Katz, and so on — as well as many personalities from the fashion and cultural sectors, fans of rare jewelry like Eva Herzigová, Isabelle Huppert, Natalia Vodianova, Cindy Bruna, Pansy Ho and Lady Kitty Spencer.
Thirty-three jewels were part of the pre-selection made by the Maisons, on display in the windows of their Monaco boutiques as well as at the Café de la Rotonde, the setting for an all-new public exhibition.
The public was also invited to vote for their favorite piece. And more than 20,000 people did so, via a special app or the GPHJ website. Proof, if any were needed, that High Jewelry can inspire dreams and excitement well beyond its circle of professionals and discerning connoisseurs.
