This confidentiality policy defines and informs you of the manner in which Rubel & Ménasché uses and protects the information that you provide where applicable, when you use the website available on the following URL: www.rubel-menasche.com (hereafter the “Website”) or if you sign up for the newsletter.
Please note that this Confidentiality Policy may be updated or completed at any time by Rubel & Ménasché, in particular in order to comply with any changes in legislation, regulations, case law or technology. In such an event, the date of the update shall be clearly identified in the header to this policy. Any such modifications are binding on the User from the moment they are put online. Users are therefore advised to regularly consult this Confidentiality Policy.

Personal data refers to any information that can be used to identify you, directly or indirectly.
We publish a newsletter that you can subscribe to if you provide us with your email address
This information is hereafter referred to as “Personal Data”. By providing this information you expressly accept that it shall be processed by Rubel & Ménasché, for the purposes indicated in point 1.2.
Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation, which was adopted by the European Parliament on 14 April 2016, and the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended, Rubel & Ménasché hereby informs you of the following:

- 1.2 Purpose of the processing
At Rubel & Ménasché, we take the Personal Data that you provide to us very seriously. We feel it is particularly important to inform you that we do not sell or rent your email address. We go to great lengths to protect this data and to make our employees aware of the issues at stake.
The only processing that your data is subject to are:
- Sending information in the newsletter that you receive by email.
- Processing for statistical purposes regarding which articles are read and the interest that our readers show for different articles.
As you are reminded during the registration process, the data is not used for any other purpose (e.g. marketing).
- 1.3 Recipients
Rubel & Ménasché is the recipient of your data. The newsletter is sent by a specific “Mailpoet” system that is a subcontractor for Rubel & Ménasché. You can read this company’s confidentiality policy online (https://www.mailpoet.com/privacy-notice) and it operates in compliance with the GDPR. This subcontractor processes data with the same concern as ourselves for security and respect for personal data. Your personal data shall not be marketed by this subcontractor.
- 1.4 Storage period
Data is only kept for the time for which the reader is subscribed to the newsletter. Once a reader is unsubscribed, data may in no event be kept for more than 6 months.
- 1.5 Right to access, modify and object

- 1.5.1 Right of access and to the communication of data
You have the right to access your Personal Data. For this purpose, you can use the form accessible at the end of each newsletter. If you contact us by email (contactit@rubel.fr) to make modifications, due to the security and confidentiality obligation that Rubel & Ménasché is under with regard to the processing of personal data, you are informed that your request shall only be processed if you provide a scan of a valid proof of identity.
- 1.5.2 Right to correct data
The legislation grants you the right to demand the correction, updating, locking or even the erasing of your personal data, which may prove to be inaccurate, erroneous, incomplete or out of date. The procedure is exactly the same as in the previous section.
- 1.5.3 Right to object
Personal data must be collected in order for the newsletter to be sent out. Objecting to the collection of your personal data shall result in the cancellation of your subscription to the newsletter. All of your personal data shall then be erased. To exercise this right, you can contact us using the contact email address (contactit@rubel.fr). We shall answer you within one month of your request.
- 1.6. Subcontracting
Rubel & Ménasché hereby informs you that we use a subcontractor from outside the European Union. This subcontractor is a recognized professional in the field of generating emailing campaigns. It enables us to transpose the obligations under the GDPR through the mechanisms that it implements at the time of registration (double option), for rights to access, correct and potentially object, and for making data secure.
- 1.7 Age for registration
Minors under the age of 13 cannot subscribe to the newsletter.
- 1.8 Complaints to the competent authority
If you consider that Rubel & Ménasché breaches its obligations with regard to your Personal Data, you can send a complaint or a request to the competent authority. In France, the competent authority is the CNIL, which you can contact online.
- 2. Cookies Policy
No personal data is required to browse on the www.rubel-menasche.com website. However, we use Cookies technology. You can object to the use of cookies, but the site shall not remember your preferences (choice of language, etc.). Some statistical data is collected, but may not be associated with your identity (no personal data is requested from you).
