In April, Natural Diamond Council launched the Diamond Learning Center, a free, not-for-profit educational platform accessible at www.diamondlearningcenter.org.
Its main objective is to train jewelry sales teams, so they are better informed, inspired and able to clearly explain to their customers the differences between natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds and fakes.
The Diamond Learning Center is the first all-in-one, free, mobile-friendly learning hub designed for both beginners and seasoned professionals.
The platform will also appeal to enthusiasts looking to discover diamonds or deepen their diamond knowledge.
The content is split into modules and is quick to browse, comprehensive and concise. It comes in various formats – videos, infographics, quizzes – to appeal to different learning styles, is an excellent complement to existing technical diamond training programs, and could even be a great introduction to the topic.
Created by Natural Diamond Council, this learning center emerged from an education-focused roundtable that identified the confusion and bias often present at points of sale, which can negatively impact the entire sector. This initiative is the result of discussions between experts and professionals in the diamond industry, with the goal of equipping sales teams with all the talking points they need to explain the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds to customers.
Through this educational approach, NDC hopes to see an increase in natural diamond sales.
Key features of the Diamond Learning Center:
- Quick Learning: Answer over 25 frequently asked questions about diamonds with videos lasting 30 seconds to 3 minutes, created by industry experts.
- In-Depth Modules: Engaging 20- to 30-minute courses that learners can complete at their own pace, offering a deeper understanding of diamond values beyond the 4Cs. Each module provides a Certification of Achievement, including topics such as:

- The history of diamonds
- Common myths, debunked with facts
