After 8 years spent at the Maison of Rubel & Ménasché, Géraldine Sakon, Managing Director, will fly away towards new horizons. With much passion and energy, Géraldine contributed to bringing the diamantaire into a new era, resolutely ambitious and anchored in a diamond industry looking ahead to a sustainable future.

Shortly after joining the company in July 2013, Géraldine Sakon was appointed Chief Operating Officer, a position she would hold for 5 years. After serving as Managing Director since 2019, Géraldine will step down from Rubel & Menasché on December 31st, 2020.

She has accompanied the Maison in its growth, its challenges and its expansion phase, helping it become the bold, innovative, unique and ingenious diamantaire that it is today: “I have profoundly enjoyed experiencing this adventure with all the teams at Rubel & Ménasché. I’m well aware that I sometimes forced them out of their comfort zone. Over the years, I strove to determine the processes and best practices with each team; I endeavored to give meaning to everyone’s functions and to structure the organization. I wanted to put a participative style of management in place, one based on exchange, to develop cohesiveness and to grow together. In this way, we have built solid foundations to structure the operation of the Maison and integrate the concept of continuous improvement into the heart of our practices.

The buy-in of all employees to this company project and a close collaboration with our partners have enabled us to move forward, to get better, to reinvent ourselves. Today, I look at Rubel & Ménasché with much pride.

It’s a Maison with real values, which relies upon its uniqueness.

Its greatest assets are its employees who are as passionate about their professions as they are about our industry.

Rubel & Ménasché is, above all, its BOLD PEOPLE!!

The time has now come for me to say thank you to this fantastic team, to hand over the reins, and to move on to new paths.

I know that my desire to move forwards with passionate women and men, to rise to new challenges, will guide my choices.”

Stephan Wolzok, CEO: “We are extremely proud and grateful to have been able to develop during all these years with Géraldine. Day after day, she made us challenge ourselves. Day after day, while respecting everyone, she helped us to explore, to search ever further. She was able to capture our “Essence” to help us reveal our true selves.
For me, it was a genuine pleasure to build the company with her and I can say that this encounter is a tale of connections, going beyond techniques, skills or tools. I’m very happy that Géraldine is heading for new realms, where she will certainly demonstrate other talents once again.

Now more than ever we are buoyed by our employees, who are our prime asset. Our next steps will be as passionate, as rich in encounters... We are ready to keep on writing the new pages of our Maison’s fine history.

The key to our success will remain, always, a clear understanding of everyone’s desiderata, so as to continue creating bridges and playing fields between our industry and the jewelry world. Going beyond our respective professions, we must remain aware that we are working on a collective project, something in which we must all be involved: that is what provides resources and strength, that is what will move us forward. And, at Rubel & Ménasché, that is what motivates us, what drives us: putting the human back in the center, every time! And that is probably what also gives meaning to our actions. Our business will therefore continue to develop naturally, in terms both of depth and revenue.
The important thing is to remain true to ourselves, not to pretend…”
